Church workers sew for Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas and send a box to Japan. multiple families and individuals from Blackwell, Sweetwater, Fort Worth, Abilene, Deming, and Midland are mentioned in social and travel notes.
Mrs Marvin Corley and Mrs John Gaston were chosen to attend the Bronte Junior club meeting on September 21. Songs were sung by Marvin Corley and refreshments of cake and punch were served. The next meeting will be on October 7 with Mrs Johnnie Brown.
Sept. 15 reports show Mrs. F. C. Wojtek Miss Julian Herndon Mrs. Raymond Bloodworth and Mrs. C. Marquez were discharged.
