Robert Lee Wins League Championship Over Veribest
The Robert Lee Rabbit-Twisters beat Veribest 13 to 2 to claim the Concho Basin baseball league title in the third game of the series. Clarence Tinkler earned the win allowing six Veribest hits as Robert Lee totaled 17 with home runs by Gerald Ivey Royce Smith and Troy McKinney. Oscar Peeples and Wimpy Feist pitched for Veribest. Clytus Smith made a flying trip to Galifornia this week, flying to Los Angeles Monday with a San Angelo flyer to pick up an airplane and returning Wednesday.

The Methodist Youth Fellowship held a candle light service at the Methodist Church on Sunday evening. Manoo Griffith played the prelude, Junior Wilkins led worship, and Abvin Mauldin Jr read the Psalm. A quartet sung by Billie Jeane Millikin, Marion Griffith, Malene Arrott and Gwendolyn Ernest. Doris Adair offered a benediction. A fellowship reception with ice cream and cookies followed on the parsonage lawn for 24 attendees.
