The 1945 peanut acreage allotment is set at 562 626 acres by Howard Ty Kingsbery chairing the Production and Marketing Administration. A referendum on whether marketing quotas will apply for 1948 49 and 1950 crops will occur after a two thirds favorable vote by peanut growers. County shares will be apportioned and farmers notified of their allotments before the vote.
