ROY M. HESTER, a seaman from Bronte Texas, serves on the aircraft carrier USS Shangri La. The ship returned to San Diego on October 3 after a seven month Western Pacific tour with the Seventh Fleet, taking part in SEATO Saddle Up exercises off Borneo before a four month overhaul at Bremerton.
