Mrs. Charles Ragsdale hosted the Bronte W H D Club on October 5. A new member Mrs. Ray Coulson joined. The program titled Highlights of the State W H D Meeting in Corpus Christi was presented by Mrs. E Arrott and Mrs. J C Boatright. Next meeting set for October 19 with Mrs. Winnie Tidwell.
Mrs Brady Mills of Bronte is new president of Division 58 LV NA. Regular meeting Oct 6 at Harris Clumec Bronte announced new officers to be installed Nov 3 in Ballinger. Provisional members and nominees listed with plans for Mineral Wells convention Oct 27 98 and board meetings in Ballinger Nov 3.
The Edwards Plateau Historical Association holds its fifth annual meeting Saturday October 15 at the Y O Ranch Mountain Home Texas. Registration starts 9 30 a m with a 2 50 charge covering meal and program. Dr Russell Thomas will discuss Kerr County and the Y O Ranch history. Lunch 12 and a 1 30 p m business session followed by a ranch and homes tour at 2 30. Memberships 3 00 due at the meeting. Pre registration and reports may be sent to Secretary P O Box 251 Fredericksburg Texas.
Members and guests gathered at Robert Lee County Park for the association’s annual business meeting program and barbecue. County Agent Sterling Lindsey served as master of ceremonies. Officers elected for 1967 are President Ton Davis Vice President Finis Harmon Secretary-Treasurer J T Henry Directors Wilbun Millican Bob White Finnell Smith LeDrew Arrott A program by Nor ei Wallace Education Director Region 1 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, with Game Warden R L Flanagan assisting. Next meeting will be held next fall at Bronte county park.
Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Herren traveled to Odessa for the funeral of Lester Leathers, brother of their son-in-law Carroll Leathers, and also visited their children during the trip.
