The Euterpean club met in the home economics living room at the school house in Blackwell Thursday with hostesses Mmes Frank Youree and Charles Ragsdale. Vice president Mrs Vernon Haggerton welcomed the women who teach in the Blackwell school and other guests.
The event featured talks by Mrs P G Dabney on the Declaration of Independence and Mrs G L Best on Primer for Americans. God of the Nations was sung by Mmes Vernon Cope, B Re McCarley, and Owen Colvin as the leader conducted a quiz Inside the White House.
A refreshment plate was served to guests Miss Rita Branscum, Miss Johnnie Broyles and Mines Rena Rendall, Marguerite Sparks, Carol Miller, W V Stephen son, M B Maxwell, Jessie Drake, C E Hyatt, and members Miss C J Bast, Owen Colvin, Vernon Copeland, P G Dabney, Vernon Haggerton, Austin Jordan, B R K MecCorley, H C Raney, Rey Sanderson, W C Shamblin, C B Smith, Joe Smith, Sam Smith, W W Youngblood, and the hostesses.
