Miss Kathey June Brown became the bride of Airman Cecil Parker Young Jr. at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday November 17 at Tennyson Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. W. E. Chandler. The couple will reside in Las Vegas Nevada where Young serves at Nellis AFB.

Jana Ragsdale daughter of Mr and Mrs Bob Ragsdale of Fort Stockton was honored on her sixth birthday with a party at her grandmother Mrs Charles Ragsdale home. The party was Wednesday Nov 13 with friends Joey Luckett Darrell Jackson Sue Jane Parker Sheila and Lisa Lee. Birthday cake punch and favors balloons and bubble gum were served.

Lunchroom Menus for November Week
Monday November 25 features stew and cheese rollups with pickles fruit pastry. Tuesday November 26 offers turkey and dressing with gravy sweet potatoes green beans congealed salad cranberry celery pineapple and baked pumpkin custard with dream whip. Wednesday November 27 includes sandwiches potato chips sweet pickles and an ice cream sandwich.
Progressive Club Hears Thanksgiving Program
The Progressive club met Thursday November 14 at Mrs Olive Keeney home. After the flag salute Mrs J D Leonard read Thanksgiving poems including An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving. Mrs Keeney spoke on I am the Nation. Members drew names for the annual Christmas party. Refreshments were chicken salad date cake whipped cream and spiced tea.
