Texas press group sets guidelines for criminal news release
A nine month study by the State Bar of Texas with judges lawyers and newsmen produced guidelines for releasing information in criminal proceedings. The plan urges truth accuracy objectivity and fair play and gives both press and Bar shared responsibility for an uninfluenced jury atmosphere. News groups will adopt the guidelines early next year.
