Bennington deploys in Tonkin Gulf on 11th Western Pacific cruise
Sedberry USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peyton H. Sedberry of Blackwell, serves aboard the anti submarine warfare aircraft carrier USS Bennington in the Gulf of Tonkin. The carrier, flagship for antisubmarine warfare group three, is near the end of its 11th Western Pacific voyage after a visit to Subic Bay Philippines, conducting submarine tracking, search and rescue for downed pilots, and radar surveillance of surface and air contacts.
