WMS MEETING AND SENIORS ENTERTAINED AT BRONTE PARK
The WMS of First Baptist met in separate circle meetings Tuesday morning at Bronte Park and the church with thirteen members present. Mrs. Hiram Brock hosted Sunbeams at the church. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Sims entertained the senior class with a dinner in their back yard featuring roast beef potatoes salad beans cobbler and iced tea with twelve guests and one host present.

Eight Grade Centary and Bronte School Attend Treat
The eighth grade Centary School and Bronte High School were treated to refreshments at Hart's Snack Bar after being the top two attendance classes of the year. The eighth grade averaged 97.21 percent while the senior class averaged 96.24 percent.

Equalization Board Set for Robert Lee Courthouse
A county equalization board will convene at 9 a.m. July 9 at the courthouse in Robert Lee to set tax values for 1964. The commissioners court serves as the county board and invites any person with business to be present.

Vaccine clinic to immunize pets in Coke County
Coke County 4H clubs sponsor a rabies vaccination program for pets. Dr. Hudman and Dr. Joy of Koberg Joy veterinary clinic will vaccinate at the Robert Lee show barn from 8 to 9 30 am and at Bronte from 10 to 11 30 am on Thursday May 21. Pet owners are urged to bring their animals to the designated locations and times.

Local Army Recruits Finish Basic Training at Fort Polk
Greg Whalen and Malcom Johnson completed basic training in the Army at Fort Polk Louisiana and are on a two week leave. They will report to Fort Gordon Georgia on May 29.

Denise Sheri Simpson was honored at a birthday party Monday at Bronte County Park for her sixth birthday hosted by Mrs. Joe B Simpson. About 27 guests attended including Marla Thompson Savannah Caperton Paul Cervenka Carol Cervenka and others. Mr and Mrs Harlin Lee took their son Tommy back to Gainesville Sunday. Eva Jo Hicks joined them. Tommy will report for work May 22 with an jail company in Memphis Tenn.
