Tennyson Social Notes Highlight Local Visits

Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Arrott included Mrs. Allen and daughter Susan of New Mexico and Mrs. Essie Austell of Dallas. Funeral services for Johnny Davis were held in Menard with relatives of Mr. Green in attendance. Various others visited family across Texas, with quilting club gatherings, birthday celebrations, and weekend travel noted in the Tennyson area.

First National Bank of Bronte Texas Report of Condition

The report shows the bank’s assets total 687 thousand 633 dollars and 75 cents with liabilities totaling 1 944 thousand 28 dollars and 48 cents and capital accounts of 191 thousand 720 dollars and 46 cents as of April 5 1967. Lions Club District Meeting Highlights at Lowake Inn

Rowena Lions Club hosted the final zone meeting of District 2A-1 for 1966-67 with a dinner and program at the Lowake Inn. May 4 EL Hurley of Bronte chaired the zone. Phil Lorfing led the program and presented appreciation gifts to the Hurleys. Special guests included Harvey and Mrs. Palmer and Doctor Chris Cruzosa with their spouses. Marvin Allen announced as future district governor. Attendance reached 112 from eight clubs, with Bronte Noon and Evening clubs well represented.

Zeta Delta Meeting Hosted by Mrs. Butler

Mrs. Elroy Butler hosted the Zeta Delta club Monday night with program on Medicine led by Mrs. Bob Ragsdale. Roll call cited a habit to break. Bake sale planned for Saturday May 13 at West Texs Utilities from 9 a.m. A list of members attended. Next meeting set for May 22 at Mrs. Noah Pruitt Jr.'s home.
