Farm Bureau Offers Discount Fire Extinguishers to Members
Coke County Farm Bureau launches a state wide service with the Texas Farm Bureau to provide 2 percent dry chemical fire extinguishers to members for 9.50 each, a 9.00 savings from the normal 18.50 price. Extinguishers include mounting brackets and cover oil gas and grease fires, electrical fires and more, with recharging available at local stations or via Waco. The program aims to strengthen rural fire prevention and reduce loss of life and property, not to profit. Secretary Mrs. C. E. Arrott notes the device is safe non toxic and approved by Underwriter and Coast Guard.
