The 193 acre Rambouillet farm lies five miles southeast of Bronte on the south bank of the Colorado River with 3/4 mile of riverfront. Ed Ratliff and Ruth Russell have owned it 18 years since buying from Clark Glenn in 1941. Ratliff, longtime Eldorado resident, and Mrs. Ratliff are active Baptists and members of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association the National Rambouillet Association and the Farm Bureau. The Ratliffs moved to Bronte but maintain the farm where Ratliff calves cattle and manages 83 acres under cultivation.
