Grade School boys won their first game and reached the finals in the Mertzon district softball tournament held last Saturday May 4. They defeated Miles 50 in the second game. The girls team opened with a 16 to 0 win over Water Valley and captured the district crown with a 17 to 10 victory over Miles. High school girls lost 40 to 32 to Water Valley in their first game and were eliminated.
