Uncle Huie Laments New Arithmetic Plan for 1965
In a letter to the editor Uncle Huie laments a Department of Education push toward a Base Seven system and abstract notions in 1965 arithmetic. He jokes about eliminating circles and lines, replacing them with sets of points and operations named intersection union and complementation. He warns that by 1965 everyone will need a Univac mind to keep up.
