Present Supervisors N Webb chairman Bryan Yarbrough vice chairman D K Glenn secretary and treasurer W W E Burns and Robert Walker. The district filed for a contract with the Great Plains Conservation Program including cross fencing pond construction brush control range seeding deferred grazing and proper use of range grasses. About 1300 feet of earthen diversions were built on the Olin Blanks ranch to divert water into livestock ponds. Bill Simpson completed rootplowing and seeding about 670 acres northwest of Robert Lee. Marvin Simpson finished about 788 acres of rootplowing and seeding nearby with a mix of native and introduced grasses. D K Glenn seeded 114 acres of range land near Bronte with native and introduced grasses. Courthouse rainfall for April trace and 4.95 inches for this year, compared with 4.79 inches at the same time last year.

Loans available to qualified owners of all farm sizes producing at least 400 dollars of commodities for sale or home use annually based on 1944 prices, with additional funds recently made available.
