Springtime Insect Sprays for Peaches and Gall Control
County agents advise early spring spray schedules to combat peach pests. Apply Carbaryl, malathion, methoxychlor or diazinon at 75 percent bloom, with follow up 10 days later and again at 13 to 21 day intervals, noting harvest precludes certain chemicals. Galls on trees are usually not serious but require care, as control is hard once gall formation begins, with preventive sprays in early growth advised.
