Beard Growers Given Reprieve in July Contest

Hallmark-Davis wedding rites held in Angelo church
Miss Judie Lynn Hallmark and Bobby Gene Davis were married last Friday at Baptist Temple Church in San Angelo with Rev. Neil Brillhart officiating. Parents are Roy D. Hallmark and George Davis of San Angelo. A reception followed at the church fellowship hall. The bride, a 1975 graduate of Lake View High School, works in a San Angelo firm. Davis attends SALVHS and works for a furniture company. Mrs. Davis is granddaughter of Minnie B. West of Bronte and a former Bronte resident.

The Sorosis Study Club met at Mrs. Royce Fancher's home on March 11. President Mrs. Clark Glenn led the meeting and a bake sale booth was approved for the Band Boosters Bicentennial Festival at the Community Center on March 27 to raise funds for the band. Mrs. Ben Oglesby presented the program Texas Day A History of Bronte. Members shared refreshments and names include Clark Glenn and Ben Oglesby.
