Bronte High School Track Team Finishes Fifth At Sonora Meet
The Bronte high school cindermen scored 48 points at a Sonora track meet last Saturday despite a disqualification in the 880 yard relay. Jim Morrow finished second in the high jump, Royce Lee tied for third in the broad jump, and the 440 relay team of Sims Lee McDaniel placed third. Sims was third in the 100 yard dash, McDaniel sixth, Royce Lee third in the 440, Ronnie Lee fourth in the 220, and Jimmy Wells third in the low hurdles. The 880 relay also placed second before being disqualified. The team plans to compete next Saturday in Eldorado.
