Bronte schools students work on entries for the Interscholastic League literary contests set in two weeks. Events include essay writing declamation and storytelling.

The Bronte W H D Club met March 16 at Mrs. O R McQueen's home with nine members present. A round table discussion followed minutes and floating prize was awarded to Mrs W W Whalen. Next meeting set for April 6 with Mrs Oden hosting. Russell M McMeans, son of Mr and Mrs H M McMeans, made Sul Ross College Dean's Honor Roll as a senior student. Mr and Mrs Arnold Ball visited Midland last Friday and spent Saturday in Abilene with Noel Percifuls.
