Five Howard Payne University Life Service Band students will lead a Youth Weekend Revival at Bronte First Baptist Church March 28 24 and 25 with Roy Epperson as evangelist and Gladys Funaki from Hawaii on organ. Local youth will assist in fellowships and activities and services begin at 7 30 each evening with Friday and Saturday fellowships.
Twenty hostesses gathered last Saturday at the home of Mrs. Bill Thomas to honor Mrs. Donald Hester, formerly Wanda Spurlock. Centerpieces featured a wedding cake and ring box with pink and white decorations, and miniature marshmallow ring boxes served as favors. Sue Blackmon and Laura McGuire led the serving table while Gwen Kirkland registered guests.
Coke County Home Demonstration Council met Tuesday in Robert Lee with ten members and officers present. Reports covered the Bronte Food Show and a recreation workshop in San Angelo. Craft Day workshop set for March 24 in the agent's office with two representatives per club attending and bringing a sack lunch.
The Methodist Senior MYF group will sponsor a pancake supper at the church on Tuesday March 27. Serving begins at 6 p.m. and continues until all served. The youth group offers an all you can eat meal at 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children under six.
Bronze school teachers attended a Texas State Teachers Association district meeting in San Angelo. School was dismissed for the meeting which began Thursday evening and C. B. Barbee the local superintendent was named to the auditing committee for district 11.
