Eubanks Gillis Private Plane Trip to Del Rio
Mrs W O Eubanks Dana Eubanks accompanied Walter Gillis to Del Rio in his private plane last Thursday. They visited the Gillis family until Monday morning when Gillis flew them back to Bronte. Sam Houston highlighted the Texas Day program for Sorosis Study Club at Mrs Clark Glenn’s home.

Bronte 4-H Favorite Foods Show Winners Named
Elaine Fikes of Robert Lee and Sharon McCutchen of Bronte won in the Coke County 4 H Favorite Foods Show at the Bronte Methodist Church on a Saturday afternoon. Elaine displayed Apple Crisp and Sharon presented Humdinger a meat casserole, with blue and red ribbon awards for several Unit II and Unit I participants. Sixty people attended the event as leaders and judges recognized food exhibits and record books.

Mrs Will Stephenson and Mrs J W Robbins of Rankin spent last week with Mrs Lucille Bald win and Mrs Vera Thomas. Mrs Robbins was accompanied home by Mr and Mrs W G Cresap who weekended in Rankin. Mrs Turney Casey of Robert Lee is in Bronte Hospital with injuries from a car pickup wreck Friday night. Jasper Gaines of Robert Lee drove the other car. Gaines was treated and released in Shannon hospital San Angelo. Mr Casey was a passenger but uninjured. Mr and Mrs Judge Sandusky moved from Fort Worth to Hondo to join a veterinary firm partnership.
