Brookshire residents travel to Ballinger Fort Worth Big Spring and Angelo for business and social events. A baby girl Ruth Ann was born March 4 weighing 10 pounds 11 ounces. Several gatherings honor the Buster Gleghorn family and others attend showers and visits across Ballinger Miles and Miles area communities.

Mr. and Mrs. Lingy McDorman visited from Norton. Bobbie Burns of Angelo visited the GC. C. Allen home this week. The Jaycees held a semi monthly meeting Monday night with banquet by the Womans Auxiliary. They were hosted by Joyce Littlefield and Eva Belle McCutchen. Brooks Browning of Bronte now works in M System’s meat department. Emory Davis bought the Paul Good home and will move in this week. Douglas Snead of Bronte and Joe Lang Snead of Sterling City visited their father J. C. Snead in a Dallas hospital. Inez Cole and Christine Pruitt were treated for appendicitis in Angelo hospital. L. M. Service is in Angelo hospital in serious condition. Mr. and Mrs. Clell Varnadore are proud parents of Donald Gene born Friday March 7. Several people on the sick list this week due to flu, chicken pox and scarlet fever. Everyone urged to take health precautions.
The Runnels Baptist Associational Training Union Meeting will be held at Rowena Church next Sunday at 9:00 P.M. Weldon Fikes of Robert Lee will give the inspirational message by Rev. Fred of Robert. Members are invited to attend the sessions.
