Norton Lodge Elects Eastern Star Officers
Officers for the Norton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star were installed at the lodge hall in Norton. Mrs. Clifford Clark was installed as worthy patron with her husband vice versa, and several named officers including Mrs. Lillian Jennings, Mrs. Hollis Stevens, and Mrs. E. G. Collins were appointed to key roles. Star points and officers from Ballinger were noted with Mrs. Henry Pruitt as installing officer.

Family visitors fill the weekend at J C Mullins home with relatives from Talco Odessa and Ballinger. A Flanagan reunion at Ballinger Park drew 125 attendees while other guests included M C Davis and Jo Ann from Odessa. The Mullins plan a Washington DC vacation. Grady Baker and family visited Abilene and plan trips to Alabama with Mrs Silas Dixon. Strickland and Wells families also vacationed in Texas cities San Saba and San Antonio.

We extend our deep appreciation to all the people in Bronte who did so much for us during my recent stay in the hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Harris and the nursing staff. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Gene Woods Linda Henry and Jetty Kirkland left Monday for Kerrville for a week at the Methodist Camp. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Henry carried the girls down. Mr. and Mrs. Binks McCutchen will make the trip down Saturday and bring the girls home.
