Sunday preaching at the Baptist church preceded a long list of guests and visitors. Abilene residents E Washon and Wil bert, T A Burks and sons joined Stephenson family gatherings, with many Ballinger, San Angelo, Big Spring and Crane residents appearing at dinners, fish fry events, and housewarmings in the area.
James E. Allen has received a transfer to Coy City and will begin duties with Atlantic Pipeline Co. The Allens have lived here about six years. Mrs. Allen and Camille will stay briefly before joining him near Karnes City south of San Antonio.
San Angelo hosts Mr and Mrs Paul Parker and Paula along with the James family amid a flurry of Sunday and weekend visits. Friends and relatives including Deans, Browns, Altens, Armstong, Howell, and Webb shared meals, croquet, and ice cream at multiple homes. Several households hosted guests from Austin, San Antonio, Abilene, and Miles, with school events and neighborhood gatherings noted throughout the week.
