Progress on Robert Lee Reservoir Dam and Diversion Works
A weekly report shows Robert Lee Reservoir dam at 73.87 percent completion with the spillway lagging at 69.44 percent. Over 9.5 million cubic yards have been moved. Rock rip rap for oil well mounds is on hold due to a lease dispute. About 10 percent of a Mitchell County diversion dam is finished. A 33 mile pipeline from Big Spring to the Martin County line is 13 miles complete.

Funeral services for Lonnie L. Fenwick held
Funeral services were held for Lonnie L. Fenwick 64 of Ballinger. He died from a gunshot wound suffered May 28 and was found in his pickup at his Ballinger farm. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery Ballinger.
