11 Year Old Lad Drowns at Lake Spence
11 year old Boshell of Andrews drowned about 3 p.m. Tuesday in Lake Spence while fishing with family north of Dumnean's Fish-A-Rama. He and a younger sister waded into deep water and stepped in. stepfather Kuykendall could not reach him. Sheriff and deputies assisted. body recovered in 10 feet of water. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Funeral services arranged by Newby Funeral Home.

Miss Norm Lynn Pruitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education at Baylor University during the 129th commencement in May. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Noah L. Pruitt Jr. attended the Senior Ring Out and Passing of the Key in Burleson Quadrangle and the baccalaureate service in Waco Hall, with the Heart of Texas Coliseum ceremony also noted. Grandmothers Mrs. Faye Scott and Mrs. Naomi L. Pruitt Sr. joined the family for the events. Pruitt will start a position with Himbaker Oil Co. in Houston.

The 1948 Bronte High School senior class will hold its 26th annual reunion on Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m. in Bronte County Park. A pot luck supper is planned and attendees are asked to bring their own pirate, glass and silverware.

Leaves for Norway on three week visit
Cathy Bryan departs Wednesday by plane for Bergen Norway for a three week visit with friend Sharon Walston. She flies from Sian Angelo to Dallas then Washington with a stop in London before reaching Bergen. Miss Walston is daughter of Mr and Mrs E H Walston, who work for Rowan Drilling Co drilling for oil in the North Sea between Britain and Norway.
