Bronze water usage nears peak after heavy rains
Bronze residents were approaching 400000 gallons per day before last week's rainfall. Water superintendent Luckett said daily demand dropped to about 200000 after the rains and should rise again unless more rain comes. He noted four water samples from Creek Texaco Station City Cafe McShan's Snack Bar and Taylor Emerson tested free of harmful organisms. He warned leaky faucets and toilets cost users money, citing a case of a 61000 gallon monthly bill rising to 37000 due to a leaky valve.
