Veterans may apply for FSA land loans in Coke County
In Bronte Texas on March 1 1918 the Farm Security Administration invites veterans returning from service to seek government loans for full land and improvement costs under the Bankhead Jones act. A $25 000 appropriation funds a limited number of loan opportunities with 40 year terms and 3 percent interest. Eligibility requires lack of financing elsewhere. local FSA committee led by R B Allen Lee R Schooler and Clarence B Arrott will determine eligibility. Veterans may initially work as tenants to gain experience before owning land.
