Silver Homecoming Planned for Sunday Bright Community

Annual homecoming for the Silver community set for Sunday July 25 invites all former and present residents and friends. Larry Jameson serves as president of the Silver Homecoming Association. Ladies are asked to bring salads or desserts while the association provides barbecued meat beans bread drinks paper plates cups and napkins.

The Coke County Historical Survey Committee seeks volunteers to identify and mark unmarked graves across 17 cemeteries in Coke County. Chairman Mrs. Bryan Yarbrough asks anyone who can help to contact her or other committee members.

Home Demonstration Camp Set for Aug 5 6

The annual Home Demonstration Camp takes place in the Robert Lee Recreation Center on August 5 and 6. One project will be making 25 blue bonnets or goodie bags for the National Home Demonstration meeting in Dallas in September. All club members should mark these dates.

Farm Bureau workshop aids county secretaries in Lubbock

Mrs. Arrott from Bronte attended a Texas Farm Bureau area discussion meeting in Lubbock. The workshop, one of four statewide, aimed to improve office procedures, review organization structure, and discuss programs including Blue Cross Blue Shield, memberships, newsletters, and marketing efforts.
