Insurance board sets auto rate cuts and new coverage rules
The State Insurance Board ordered an average 4.3 percent decrease for private auto policies and at least 25 million dollars in savings while allowing possible further cuts under a new competitive rating effective Sept 1. New coverages automatic unless rejected will add costs, notably personal injury protection at 8 to 23 dollars yearly.
