East Coke County Hospital District Election Set for Aug 23
Coke County Commissioners Court has scheduled a Aug 23 election to form East Coke County Hospital District covering Coke County precincts two and four. Polling will be Bronte city hall and Tennyson schoolhouse with appointed judges. Absentee voting runs 20 days to three days before at the county clerk in Robert Lee. Sharp to Preach Church of Christ Gospel Meeting
A father and sons evangelistic team led by Leon Sharp of El Paso will preach at the Church of Christ in Bronte. The gospel meeting runs July 21 through July 27 with services at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on all days except Sunday. Sharp, a former Bronte minister, left in 1954 and has since preached in Sheffield, Meadow, Carlsbad NM, and El Paso.
