More Grass Fires In Bronte Area
Grass fires kept Bronte volunteers busy last week with several calls answered and limited damage. A near serious blaze at the Walter Phillips place near the river was halted by swift action from Stanley Phillips, his wife, and Bronte firefighters. Fire Marshal Bill Luckett urged more volunteers to meet state requirements and reduce insurance costs.
