Dear Mister Editor and Travel Thoughts From Uncle HUtE
Uncle HUtE writes about retail misfits from a Baltimore drugstore closing after 41 years and suggests a grocery front, ready-to-wear, hardware, mail order furniture, and a used car lot to survive. He jokes about ads and music signs and laments dumb auto dealers while proposing a broader store mix. Visiting in California notes Mrs. Fannie Sneed of Blackwell visiting Los Angeles for her sister's 25th wedding anniversary and a Santa Maria visit with her grandson James Thomas. Sneed and Silen are sisters of Walter Moore of Blackwell.
