Blackwell Baptists Have New Pastor
Rev. W. R. Petty arrived in Blackwell to assume duties as the new pastor of the First Baptist Church. He moved his family to Blackwell last week and comes from Oklahoma where he led evangelistic work. A Fort Worth Baptist Seminary graduate, he has preached 16 years. Mrs. Petty is a music teacher with 19 years of teaching. The couple has two daughters, Mary Lucille 16 and Patricia Ann 15.

Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Whatley and Rickie Joe returned Saturday from a two weeks vacation traveling through eight western states. They visited Pikes Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, the National History Museum and Yellowstone Park, spending four days sightseeing and trout fishing. They then went to Salt Lake City, Utah and returned via Eagle Nest Lake in New Mexico.
