Raymond Berryhill hails the Farmall Cub as a modern step in farm mechanization. He notes its power fits the nation's 3,000,000 farmers with $4,000 average gross income, and that it targets small acres to compete with larger farms. The Cub can plow up to 3% acres per 10 hours and cultivate 1 to 4 rows, with fuel use under a gallon per hour despite four cylinders.
