They award honorary membership to John Ben Sheppard, elect Charles Woodward as president, and pledge RAMPS program support, marker placements, inter county tours, grave marking, cataloging cemeteries, naming features, a historical museum, and ongoing oral histories.
The Trinity University Choir, a 40‑voice group from San Antonio, will tour through Texas Oklahoma and New Mexico with two area appearances in Abilene January 27 and San Angelo February 4 both at 8 p.m. Directed by Claude Zetty the program features sacred and secular music from the Renaissance to the 20th century. Margi Oglesby of Bronte is in the choir and invites her friends to attend.
Mrs A L Young of Westbrook is visiting here this week in the home of her daughter Mrs Ben Oglesby and family. Mr Young is hospitalized in St Johns hospital in San Angelo.
Bronte junior high girls lose 19 15 at Wingate with Jolene Ughn Susan Arrott scoring threes and Melbes Leegh paint leading Wingate defense. The boys drop a 51 48 squeaker with Danny Parker 17 and Wesley Ash 16 pacing Bronte. Both squads head to Sterling City then Miles tournament Feb 9 10 11. Funeral notices follow.
