Local clubs discuss music and Japan studies week
Euterpean club members met January 18 at Mrs. R. Q. Spence’s home for a program on The New Music led by Therrell Burwick with 13 attendees. The Methodist WSCS met January 15 with Mrs. R. Q. Spence presiding and a Japan study program by Mrs. Patton. Wingate Gator TOPS group met January 15 at Humble Recreation Hall with a six week contest and new exercises demonstrated. Brownwood ARD meeting attendees included Mrs. Hill, Cave, Hamilton, Beck and Williams among others at Riverside Motor Hotel January 20. Patients in Simmons Hospital are George Russell and Mrs. Rockey Thompson.

Mrs C J Henry, formerly of Blackwell, shows slight improvement after a serious illness in Midland. She rests in a private nursing home at 903 Manor Street. Mr Henry also reports fair recovery and stays at the Bennett House, 901 Goliad, Big Spring.
