Bronte Council Tackles Zoning Water Woes and Fences
Bronte City Council held a called session on January 22 to address zoning and water issues. Fences owned by Otis Smith and Hiram Brock blocked access to Lots 2-6 in block 66 and Lot 5 in block 77 on Randal and Franklin streets, hindering purchase plans. Rees advised on fire insurance rates and city building codes, noting that a brick or metal code could lower premiums. Other items included discussion of fire zone designations and street restrictions for State Street, with council members and local residents present.
