Mrs. Juanita Trimble Seeks Coke County Tax Office
Mrs. Juanita Trimble, 46, of Robert Lee announces candidacy for Coke County Tax Assessor-Collector. Formerly Juanita Eubanks, she is a widow with a son, and after oil field and laundry work she now campaigns for the May 7 primary, pledging full office attention and taxpayer service. She is active in the Methodist church and shares Circulation duties for the San Angelo Standard Times. She says much tax work is already done by women. Deputy Sheriff O. B. Jacobs previously entered the race two weeks earlier.

PTA Begins Work On Big Valentine Festival
The PTA sets February 13 for its annual Valentine Festival with a program by the second grade and a new plan to crown three festival queens from each school division. A piano donation to the school was recognized and a legislative committee chair action was postponed to February 9. Mr. and Mrs. Bain of San Antonio visited local families this week.

Smiths to take patient to Galveston hospital
Mr and Mrs E J Smith plan to leave Thursday for Galveston where he will enter John Sealy Hospital Friday for further medical treatment. He has been hospitalized here for several weeks. They will stop at Junction to visit relatives who will accompany them to Galveston.
