Carolyn Kemp flew back to New York City last Thursday after a three week holiday stay with her parents Mr and Mrs Cecil Kemp. She was featured in the San Angelo Standard Times during her visit detailing her show business experiences. Miss Kemp has been in show business.
J L Alexander son of Mr and Mrs Monroe Alexander of Bronte was promoted to investment officer and assistant cashier at The First National Bank of Fort Worth. The announcement came at the December board meeting. He joined the bank in June 1958 after UT Austin business degree and study at San Angelo College. He previously worked in several departments and is now in the trust investment section.
Mrs. Gayle Gardner of Winters won four blue ribbons and a second place for five entries at the Graham Art Guild annual exhibit judged by Thelma Parks. Her works include One Day In The Studio, Display of Oranges, Girl At Window, and Jon's Big Shadow. Gardner is a Bronte contractor’s wife, a Little Studio color artist, musician, and architect who lives at 244 Circle Drive.
Bronte firemen plan to start studying first aid at their next meeting called for January 26. The session aims to equip volunteers with essential medical aid skills for emergencies in the community.
