Bronte School Board Names Equalization Board 1974
Bronte Independent School District trustees met Monday night and appointed a three member board of equalization Edward Cumbie C E Bruton and Bill Thomas with James Allen as alternate. They approved evaluating professional personnel and accepted the resignation of Bill Luckett as trustee for running for Precinct 2 commissioner. The vacated seat will remain unfilled until April trustee election. They discussed scheduling conflicts for athletics and band and revised hiring policies to permit March head coach contract handling. A weather related dismissal day was canceled. The board voted to declare a holiday for the 1975 Coke County Livestock Show and noted donation of 17 pieces of used classroom furniture to Divide School. They approved a one year extension for Supt C B Barbee and December bills.
