Ballinger Banker Joe Forman dies at 73 in Dallas hospital
Joe Forman 73 of Ballinger died at 3 30 p m Sunday in a Dallas hospital. Retired vice president of First Nationals Bank in Ballinger with 46 years in banking. Survivors include wife, daughter in Houston, five sisters and four brothers. Services held at Ballinger First United Methodist Church with burial in Coleman Cemetery.

Bronte junior high boys basketball finishes 2nd at the Grape Creek tournament December 14 15 16 with a 34 season record through December 18. Randy Leigh leads with 14 points in the opener 31-22 over Boys Ranch. Wayne Coalson adds 12. The team beat Water Valley 27-24 with Coalson scoring 12, then lost 33-28 to Veribest in the final as Leigh nets 12 and earns all tournament berth. Bronte also defeats Winters 47-22 on December 18 with Coalson scoring 18 and Leigh 13.

Joy Lynn Wilkins underwent left eye surgery Tuesday at St. John’s Hospital in San Angelo. She is reported doing well with bandages to be removed Wednesday and hopes for release later in the week. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Wilkins.

Woman Seriously Injured In Pecos Motorcycle Crash
Mrs. E. J. Halamicek is hospitalized at St. John's after a motorcycle accident in Pecos broke both bones in her right leg. A first setting failed and she underwent surgery Wednesday morning to reset the fractures. She is reported to be improving. Card deliveries may be sent to Room 217 at St. John's Hospital.
