Louis Thornton Attends Texas Music Educators Meet
Louis Thornton, director of the Bronte School bands, traveled to San Antonio for the 45th annual Texas Music Educators Association Clinic Convention. The event drew more than 3,500 public school music teachers and over 1,000 outstanding music students for three days of in service training and updates in teaching methods. Easter Seal Campaign Launched In Coke County Texas
Easter Seal letters are mailed in Coke County as Bill Allen of Robert Lee, Texas, Easter Seal Society contact and treasurer, promotes rehabilitation services for disabled people. The society funds physical and occupational therapy, speech and hearing programs, equipment loans, research, public education, and scholarships. In 1968 the Texas Easter Seal Society aided 11 390 children and 6 232 adults. The drive runs through Easter Sunday April 6, with appeals seeking greater support.
