The Bronte School considers buying land near Bronte for a track field and seeks land leads via L F McCutchen. Superintendent Barbee cites lights and water access as essentials while reporting 346 scholars on the 1960 61 census and only 23 new first graders. A Coke County Teachers Association PTA joint meeting with A H Houser is set for Robert Lee Thursday at 7 30 p m. Principal Joe Simpson notes low absences at Bronte amid flu disruptions. The Bronte Enterprise reports residents and visitors in Bronte and nearby towns. Eugene Saldonia and Mrs were rushed to Ballinger for treatment after a leg burn from a butane heater. Homer Clark of Big Spring spent the weekend with Jim and Mrs. Clark, and the Herbert Hollands visited. Friday guests included the Hesters and Arrotts from Bronte and Mrs. Tom Donaldson of Lucerne, California. Ballinger visitors joined Luther Nixon’s dinner group and the Caudles and Johnny Bradshaw visited. Dean Thomas accompanied by Franklin Thomas family visited their Brownwood farm. Ella White returned to Blackwell after visiting the Thomases.
