Farm Bureau Members Meet in Robert Lee
Twenty one Coke County Farm Bureau members enjoyed a Dutch supper at Varnadore Cafe in Robert Lee on Thursday night February 5. A business session followed with discussion of Senate Bill 38 and House Bill 31 to help control cattle brucellosis. Guy Denmane chaired the membership committee and will attend the Texas rally February 12 at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas with his wife. The Bachelors quartet, plus Mr and Mrs Denman, will accompany Mr and Mrs Le Drew Arrott to Dallas. After the meeting members viewed a film on Wildlife in Alaska.

First Baptist Church Names New Pastor
The Rev. Lester Vinson accepted the pastorate at First Baptist Church here. The Vinson family will move from Abilene to Bronte soon, with more details to come in The Enterprise. Rev. Ira Harrison of Abilene will preach Sunday and has been interim pastor since Rev. Douglas Brown resigned months ago. The parsonage is being remodeled while vacant.

A grand jury for the 51st District Court term is to report at Robert Lee next Monday February 16 at 10 a m. Two men remain jailed in Coke County pending the grand jury action while three others are free on bond.
