Next Sunday February 12 marks Race Relations Day at the Methodist church with World Brotherhood as the main emphasis. The local church will participate at the 11 o clock morning service with hymns aligned to the day and a sermon on The Basis of Brotherhood. full membership attendance is urged and visitors are warmly welcomed.
First National Bank in Bronte will close Monday in observance of Lincoln's birthday which falls on Sunday February 12. The notice corrects a previous misprint stating February 12 as the bank closing date. Other businesses and the post office will be open. Robert Lee State Bank will also close.
The Parent Teachers Association sets a meeting for Tuesday afternoon February 14 at 3 p.m. at the local school. The Founders Day program centers on The Family Assumes Civic Obligations with a special song by first grade pupils. A Silver Tea follows with first grade mothers as hostesses.
