Local Home Economists Plan Year’s Work
The E.E.E. Committee met to map the year’s program for home economics and education expansion. Members include Mrs. Curtis Walker, Mines Sloan Green Mountain, William Moody, Bronte Jr and Sr, Floyd 4runk, and Jaten Jameson. Upcoming meetings list dates from Feb 4 to Feb 11 across Bronte and Santo area offices and council sessions.

Bronte boys claim tournament title with tight final
Bronte upended Robert Lee 32-30 in a close final as Carl Dunklin led with 14 points and teammates Dunklin Wayne Carlton Gary Allen Douglas McCutchen David Glenn Charles Masterson and Craig Curlee powered the win. Earlier Bronte beat Silver 30-27 with Gary Allen scoring 17 to lead. Bronte White and girls teams faced losses including a 34-10 setback to Silver and consolation results.

4-H Show Lamb Classes Highlight Texas Exhibitors
In the El Paso Show and Houston show circuit, 4-H club members displayed numerous lambs with Ronny Dore Jed Ithe placing in the finewool class. Ronnie and Marcia Varnadore earned top entries in other classes while Edwin Lindsey placed 11th and 19th with two entries. Coke County exhibitors scored in the crossbred class with about 180 lambs showing and top animals among the 45. Shows extended from late February in El Paso to early March in San Angelo.
