Bronte Hi Basketball Results Highlight Gameday
Bronte high teams split with Sterling and fell to Lakeview. Seventh graders lost 31 12 while eighth grade fell 36 21. Frances Brice led Bronte with 25 points. Carolyn Glenn 18 and Kenneth McCutchen 15 top Bronte boys in district tied for first. Garden City visits Friday with 6 30 p.m. tip.

4 H Exhibitors at Abilene Fat Stock Show
Dawnie Grace Boykin Bennie Boykin Jerry Burson Darrell Pitcock and Gaylen Pitcock of Robert Lee 4-H Club showed lambs and Herefords at the Abilene Fat Stock Show. Dawnie and Bennie’s light weight lambs ranked 34th and 39th in a 130 head class. Jerry Burson’s heavy weight lambs placed 12th and 30th. Darrell and Gaylon’s Herefords placed 17th and 12th. Gaylon’s heavy weight steer sold for 33 cents per pound. Quality across classes was good and competition was keen.
