Colorado River dam revival eyed near Robert Lee

Renewed interest in a proposed Colorado River dam a few miles below Robert Lee draws Abilene and nearby towns into the plan. At a Bronte meeting, UCRA director Harry P. Burley and local officials discussed a project that would impound about 750 thousand acre feet without flooding Robert Lee. The proposal aims to supply municipal and irrigation water as legislators consider adding Runnels and Concho counties to the UCRA effort.
